Victoria is a lovely independent girl who has had a rather unusual start in life. She originally lived as a stray on a unit with her previous owner, and as you might expect, she is very much used to doing things her own way.

Life in a busy shelter environment is proving quite stressful for Victoria, and we feel she would be happiest in a working home where she can have the freedom and space she is accustomed to, while also putting her natural skills to good use as a little pest controller.

Victoria’s previous owner has told us that, with time and patience, she did begin to trust them and even came inside for cuddles. We haven’t seen this side of Victoria during her time with us, so we want to be honest that we are currently recommending a working home where she can have the independence she needs. However, that doesn’t mean she won’t form a bond with someone in the right environment. With time, patience and a relationship built on her terms, there’s every possibility that Victoria may learn to trust again.

Victoria isn’t looking for a traditional lap-cat lifestyle right now. She is looking for someone who understands that some cats need a little more freedom and a lot of patience.
