Volunteering Days are a great way to get your team away from their desks and thinking in a new way: be you a large multi-national business with thousands of employees to a small company based just up the road.
We welcome you all to join us getting hands on by spending time with our team to see what goes on behind the scenes of a busy animal rescue and rehoming centre. From one off days with us through to working with us to complete particular project over a week, volunteering helps you to promote a healthy work / life balance while giving your employees a new sense of purpose as well as perspective. Your employees may find new confidence in both their team and themselves!
Every day is different at Thornberry and much of the work we can offer is dependent on what animals are currently in our care: there may be times due to the number of animals with behavioral issues that we need to limit the number of people working with them for their safety and wellbeing.
No experience working with animals is needed and we hope you’ll be enthusiastic and willing to get stuck in! Drinks are provided and our café is open onsite to pre book lunch (or you are welcome to bring lunch with you). Please wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting mucky and sturdy shoes.
(Please note that Corporate Days run Tuesday – Friday, April to September. We ask for a suggested donation of £100 per volunteering day (maximum of 10 persons) to cover the cost of equipment and admin involved in organising and hosting the day).
