Due to a shortage of staff and volunteers, we have made the difficult decision to only accept donations for our charity shops on Friday-Sunday for the immediate future. Our opening times remain as 11am-3pm.
While we really appreciate every single donation that comes through our gates, we are unable to cope with the amount of workload that comes with it. Please be patient with our team during this time. We’re incredibly frustrated that we’ve had to make this decision, as your donations are the lifeblood of Thornberry, but we have to prioritise our staff’s mental and physical wellbeing.
We are desperate for volunteers in our retail team. No experience is needed, just an interest in supporting Thornberry as a charity. If you can spare a few hours a week sorting our donations, working on our tills and talking to customers, that will make all the difference to us. We’re a really friendly team who are in need of more support.
