Meet Yeti

Yeti is a charming solo male guinea pig who is searching for a loving new home. He came into our care after he and his brother began to fight, meaning they had to be separated. Sadly, their previous owners were no longer able to provide the space and care that the boys needed, so Yeti is now looking forward to a fresh start with a family who can give him the attention and companionship he deserves.

Since arriving with us, Yeti is still settling in and has yet to fully show just how happy and confident he can be. However, we can already see glimpses of his sweet nature, and we’re certain that with a little time, patience, and love, he will blossom into a very happy and affectionate piggy.

Yeti will be neutered while in our care, and once this is completed, he will be ready to join another single guinea pig or even a small group, where he can enjoy the companionship that guinea pigs naturally crave. For his safety, he will need to be kept separate from any females for six weeks following his castration before introductions can take place.

Yeti is looking for a home that understands the needs of guinea pigs and can provide plenty of space, enrichment, and gentle care to help him build his confidence. With the right family, he is sure to thrive and become a much-loved companion.

If you think you could offer Yeti the loving forever home he deserves, we would love to hear from you. Help this lovely boy start his next chapter and become the happy piggy we know he can be.

Guinea pigs need a spacious, secure enclosure no smaller than 160cm x 60cm (4×2 C&C) but the bigger the better! A quiet environment with fresh hay, veggies and enrichment

The adoption process

Application
If you see an animal on our website that you are interested in adopting, you should fill out an Animal Enquiry form. This gives us more details about yourself and your lifestyle to make sure you are a good match for each other. If we get multiple requests for one animal, we will consider them all and choose the most suitable home to match it to a new owner. This will allow everyone interested a fair chance of adopting it
First meeting
If your application is successful, we will invite you for a first meeting. Here, you and the animal will meet each other and see how you get along. Following on from this, there may be more meetings and you can introduce other pets as required.
Home checks
Home checks are required for every dog before we set the adoption date. This was done physically pre-Covid but we now ask for videos and photos. We need to be sure the home environment is suitable for that dog and the garden is secure. If dogs/rabbits are going to live with other dogs/rabbits, we will arrange an introduction as previously mentioned.
Keep in touch
Every adoption is as unique as each animal. Please remember although sometimes it might seem like a lengthy process, we are doing this to make sure each animal is found the right home for their lifetime.
