Meet Mamba and Python *WORKING/RURAL HOME ONLY*

Mamba and Python are 7-month-old brother and sister who came into our care after being found as strays. When they first arrived, they were understandably very anxious in the rescue environment, though over time they did begin to show some improvement.

They were later placed into a home, however it quickly became clear that a typical domestic environment was too overwhelming for them. They were extremely stressed indoors and did not settle, despite patience and support. Because of this, we feel it is in their best interests to find them a working or rural home where they can live with minimal pressure and expectations.

Mamba and Python would thrive in a setting such as a farm, smallholding, stables, or rural outbuildings, where they can enjoy being cats — exploring, chasing mice, and living more independently — while still being provided with food, shelter, and routine welfare checks.

They can be rehomed together and would benefit from remaining as a pair, as they take comfort from one another. They are not suitable as pet cats and will not enjoy close human interaction, but they deserve a safe, stable environment where they can live comfortably and stress-free.

If you can offer a suitable working or rural setting and are looking to provide a secure home for two young cats who need space and understanding, Mamba and Python could be a perfect fit.

The adoption process

Application
If you see an animal on our website that you are interested in adopting, you should fill out an Animal Enquiry form. This gives us more details about yourself and your lifestyle to make sure you are a good match for each other. If we get multiple requests for one animal, we will consider them all and choose the most suitable home to match it to a new owner. This will allow everyone interested a fair chance of adopting it
First meeting
If your application is successful, we will invite you for a first meeting. Here, you and the animal will meet each other and see how you get along. Following on from this, there may be more meetings and you can introduce other pets as required.
Home checks
Home checks are required for every dog before we set the adoption date. This was done physically pre-Covid but we now ask for videos and photos. We need to be sure the home environment is suitable for that dog and the garden is secure. If dogs/rabbits are going to live with other dogs/rabbits, we will arrange an introduction as previously mentioned.
Keep in touch
Every adoption is as unique as each animal. Please remember although sometimes it might seem like a lengthy process, we are doing this to make sure each animal is found the right home for their lifetime.
