Pooches in the Park is one of Thornberry Animal Sanctuary’s biggest and most-loved events of the year – a joyful celebration of dogs, their people, and our local community.

Join us at the beautiful Millhouses Park in Sheffield for a full day of tail-wagging fun, featuring a packed programme of dog show classes, exciting activities, brilliant local stalls, and plenty of opportunities to treat your four-legged friends. Whether you’re entering the dog show, browsing handmade goodies, or simply soaking up the atmosphere, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Every pawstep you take helps make a difference. All funds raised on the day go directly towards caring for the animals at Thornberry Animal Sanctuary, supporting rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming for those who need us most.

More Than a Dog Show

Pooches in the Park isn’t just a fun day out — it’s one of Thornberry Animal Sanctuary’s most important fundraising events of the year.

Every entry, purchase, and donation made on the day helps us continue our vital work caring for animals in need. Funds raised support rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming across all areas of the sanctuary — from dogs and cats to small animals and equines.

We’re welcoming a fantastic mix of traders, makers, and small businesses to be part of Pooches in the Park, one of our biggest and busiest events of the year. With thousands of visitors expected, it’s a brilliant opportunity to showcase your products while supporting a local animal charity.
