Every day at Thornberry, dogs arrive frightened, unwell, or simply overwhelmed by everything they’ve been through. For some, the world has changed overnight — and they need time, space, and specialist care to begin again.
That’s where our isolation kennels come in
Some of the dogs who arrive at Thornberry need a little extra care when they first come to us. They may be poorly, frightened, or simply overwhelmed by everything that has happened to them.
We already have large outdoor isolation pens where these dogs can enjoy fresh air and space while they recover. But when they return inside, the accommodation available to them isn’t always designed for the level of comfort and quiet they truly need.
Right now, demand is high — and we are almost always at capacity.
To give every dog the care they deserve, we need to expand and improve our existing isolation spaces, bringing them up to the standard our animals truly need.
For some dogs, that calmer, more supportive environment can make all the difference as they begin to rebuild their confidence.
Every dog deserves a safe place to land when their world has been turned upside down.
Dogs like Bambi arrive unsure of the world around them. While she is physically healthy, she is extremely nervous and finds the kennel environment overwhelming.
Quiet, comfortable isolation spaces give dogs like Bambi the time they need to settle, build trust with our team, and begin to feel safe again.
