Kiveton Co-op Funeral Care support

Kiveton Co-op Funeral Care support of Thornberry Animal Sanctuary

Kiveton Coop Funeral Care dedicated July of this year to helping raise funds for Thornberry and our profile also in the local community. The local Coop supermarket branch in Kiveton provided the space under cover at their store and members of staff contributed time and goods in addition.  Linda of the Funeral Care branch organised the raffle, with some beautifully- presented prizes and some attractive, hand decorated bags for sale in addition. The picture shows Maureen, a volunteer, Katy from the Coop store, Linda, who organised it all and Jane, a trustee. It was good also to see her manager Vic doing a hands-on stint himself, supporting her superb work. They exuded warmth and rapport with the customers passing to and fro, whether they bought a raffle ticket or not.

A Thornberry dog, Alfie, joined volunteers from T.A.S. also, doing a good ambassadorial job for the sanctuary with his friendly and patient personality. Maureen, one of our excellent supporters and a highly valued volunteer, took him for regular short breaks to keep his interest fresh.

We are lucky to have such support, with people giving freely of their time and more to help us look after our dogs, cats, smaller animals and equines.

Thank you, Kiveton Coop Funeral Care; it was a pleasure working with you.
