Minnow is one of 12 cats who were sadly dumped at Thornberry Animal Sanctuary with no background or history. Despite the sudden arrival and limited space, our brilliant cattery team worked quickly to make room for them – and now these deserving cats are starting their journey toward a brighter future.
Minnow has been a little star from the start. Compared to some of his more timid companions, he’s shown himself to be more confident and outgoing. He’s quite the chatterbox and absolutely adores fuss and attention – he’ll happily lean into strokes and purr away once he knows you’re a friend. Minnow is already showing just how affectionate and sweet he can be in the right company.
However, Minnow does have a grade 2 heart murmur, which means he’ll need a calm, stress-free environment to help him stay healthy. Because of this, he would benefit from being kept predominantly indoors, with perhaps access to a secure outdoor space like a catio or enclosed garden once he’s fully settled. His condition doesn’t currently require medication, but regular vet checks will be important – we would be happy to honour any medication potentially needed in the future that is directly related to is murmur, but he may never need any.
Minnow is looking for a loving, experienced home where he can enjoy plenty of human companionship, gentle affection, and a predictable routine. He could potentially live with another friendly feline, and his confident, affectionate nature means he’ll make a truly rewarding companion.
If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a sweet boy with so much love to give – and a little extra need for care – Minnow would love to meet you. Please enquire.
