Meet Bruce & Warren

After spending their whole lives in one loving home, Bruce and Warren have found themselves at Thornberry through no fault of their own. It’s been a heartbreaking adjustment for them, but these two gentle souls are now beginning to settle and show us just how much love they still have to give. Bruce and Warren are more than just companions – they’re lifelong best friends. Their bond is truly special, and they bring one another comfort and confidence in unfamiliar surroundings. Both boys have sweet, friendly temperaments and absolutely adore a fuss. You’ll often find them quietly enjoying the company of their carers or snuggled up side by side, simply content to be near each other. They can be a little wary of loud or unfamiliar noises, so they’re hoping for a quiet, calm home where they can finally relax and enjoy their golden years together. A peaceful garden to potter in once they’ve settled would be the cherry on top. Bruce and Warren are looking for a second chance at happiness – a loving home where they can stay together and be cherished for the amazing pair they are. They’ve been through a lot, and they deserve nothing less than the very best for the rest of their lives. If you have a quiet heart and a cozy space to share, Bruce and Warren will repay you with gentle companionship, loyal friendship, and unconditional love – please enquire.

The adoption process

Application
If you see an animal on our website that you are interested in adopting, you should fill out an Animal Enquiry form. This gives us more details about yourself and your lifestyle to make sure you are a good match for each other. If we get multiple requests for one animal, we will consider them all and choose the most suitable home to match it to a new owner. This will allow everyone interested a fair chance of adopting it
First meeting
If your application is successful, we will invite you for a first meeting. Here, you and the animal will meet each other and see how you get along. Following on from this, there may be more meetings and you can introduce other pets as required.
Home checks
Home checks are required for every dog before we set the adoption date. This was done physically pre-Covid but we now ask for videos and photos. We need to be sure the home environment is suitable for that dog and the garden is secure. If dogs/rabbits are going to live with other dogs/rabbits, we will arrange an introduction as previously mentioned.
Keep in touch
Every adoption is as unique as each animal. Please remember although sometimes it might seem like a lengthy process, we are doing this to make sure each animal is found the right home for their lifetime.
