Meet Tripod

Tripod is a lovely boy with a big heart and an even bigger personality just waiting to shine. He was found as a stray and taken to a local vets, but sadly no owner ever came forward for him. From there, he made his way into our care where he’s continuing his treatment and waiting for a fresh start in a loving home.

Tripod is currently lame on one of his forelimbs. He’s receiving pain relief, and we’re monitoring him closely, but there is a chance that he may one day need his leg amputated — which could see him truly living up to his name. If that happens, please don’t let it put you off. Tripod cats adapt incredibly well and go on to live full, happy lives.

As he came to us as a stray, we don’t know how his leg was injured or much about his past. What we do know is that he has so much love to give. He can be shy at first and may take a little time to feel safe, but once he comes out of his shell he’s a confident, friendly boy who enjoys human company and affection.

Tripod will need a home that can provide safe outdoor access, allowing him to explore and enjoy the outdoors safely once he’s settled.

This special boy has been through a lot, but he’s ready to write a new chapter with a family who will see past his injury and love him for the wonderful companion he is❤️

The adoption process

Application
If you see an animal on our website that you are interested in adopting, you should fill out an Animal Enquiry form. This gives us more details about yourself and your lifestyle to make sure you are a good match for each other. If we get multiple requests for one animal, we will consider them all and choose the most suitable home to match it to a new owner. This will allow everyone interested a fair chance of adopting it
First meeting
If your application is successful, we will invite you for a first meeting. Here, you and the animal will meet each other and see how you get along. Following on from this, there may be more meetings and you can introduce other pets as required.
Home checks
Home checks are required for every dog before we set the adoption date. This was done physically pre-Covid but we now ask for videos and photos. We need to be sure the home environment is suitable for that dog and the garden is secure. If dogs/rabbits are going to live with other dogs/rabbits, we will arrange an introduction as previously mentioned.
Keep in touch
Every adoption is as unique as each animal. Please remember although sometimes it might seem like a lengthy process, we are doing this to make sure each animal is found the right home for their lifetime.
